Neulich beim Barbecue, zu fortgeschrittener Stunde:

Belgischer Freund: How are you, my dear?
Ich: Satt.
Belgischer Freund, sehr empört: What?!? No, come on!
Ich: Hä? But...
Belgischer Freund, jetzt richtig entrüstet: I have to drive down the friends later with the car - and what are you doing? This is not funny at all!!!
Ich: ?!?!?! Wait, stopstop! Did you understand what I said? I mean, what does "satt" mean to you?

Wie sich dann herausstellte, bedeutet das Wort satt auf flämisch/holländisch so viel wie "total betrunken, völlig breit". Das erklärt einiges...
